Kosovo Independence Nothing But Trouble-Walesa

Lech Walesa, the former leader of the Solidarity movement that helped bring Poland out of communism has spoken out on the danger of Kosovo Independence:

"Recognizing Kosovo will bring nothing but trouble. No one can be denied the right to self-determination, but only within the bounds of common sense."

Walesa also charged Kosovo Islamic separatists of irresponsible behavior in that two thirds of Serbs have been driven out and those remaining have been forced into ghettos while hundreds of churches have been destroyed.

Kosovo was "with its irresponsible behavior, causing new divisions in Europe and globally and undermining international relations," Walesa said

Earlier Walesa voiced his support for the U.S. Missile Shield in Poland:

"I have always supported the shield in Poland. I'm glad that the thing is finalised now. There are so many weapons on the planet that the Earth could be destroyed 10 times over."

Think about what could happen if the jihadist Ayatollahs in Iran are successful in getting a nuke. And that could happen in five months.

Julia Gorin of Republican Riot weighs in on how the irresponsible actions of NATO, and the International Community, provided the Kremlin with the perfect pretext for Russia's actions in Georgia, with her response to Monica Crowley.

Gorin cited this Munich-Analogy from Crowley:

"When Nazi Germany seized control of Czechoslovakia in 1938, appeaser extraordinaire Neville Chamberlain referred to it as “a faraway country of which we know little.”

The Nazi invasion was based on the simple and reasonable enough-sounding pretext that ethnic Germans in the Sudetenland wanted to be annexed to the Fatherland. Hitler’s invasion of that small, seemingly insignificant country led, of course, to total war in Europe and a global conflict that cost 100 million lives. All because the Western democracies didn’t see—or didn’t want to see—the unsatiable appetites of an expansionist power led by a coldly calculating mass murderer."-Crowley.

"...the unsatiable appetites of an expansionist power led by a coldly calculating mass murderer."-Crowley

Gorin correctly responds:

"The insatiable appetites of an expansionist power are those of an expansionist Islam, which early on set its sights on the Balkans. And the West has been helping secure that prize for it. The “faraway country of which we know little” was Yugoslavia, and the Munich analogy culminated in a faraway province of which we know little, called Kosovo. In Kosovo, the Albanian-wrought NATO invasion was based on the simple and reasonable enough-sounding pretext that ethnic Albanians in Kosovo wanted to be annexed to the Fatherland (something that Albanians have made no secret of despite our leaders’ denials and decoy reasons for our support of a policy driven by the threat of violence)."

Indeed, the Kremlin  wasted no time in availing itself of the perfect pretext accorded it by NATO's wrong actions. The Russian ambassador to NATO made the following statements:

"One cannot at the same time recognize Kosovo's independence from Serbia and reiterate that Georgia's territorial integrity must be respected as regards South Ossetia and Abkhazia", he said.

"If one recognizes Serbia's territorial integrity in Kosovo, he should better keep silent on Georgia's territorial integrity", the Russian ambassador said.

"One cannot act as if nothing happened in South Ossetia - bombing of civilian population, massacres of minorities and murders of Russian peacekeepers committed by the Tbilisi authorities ...On the other hand, what NATO did in Yugoslavia, including killing civilians, destroying bridges on the Danube and TV stations in Belgrade, denies it the right to criticize Russia for any present or future actions".

Bottom line:

Russia's aggression in Georgia is wrong. But the irresponsible and wrong actions of NATO and the International Community in Kosovo and Serbia helped provide Russia with a convienient pretext. Which they are certainly exploiting.

Julia Gorin is right, "We are all Serbians now."

Support Free Speech In The U.S.

Cross posted from the Terror Finance Blog.

According to information at house.gov. the last major action on this bill was in June when it was referred to Committee. Congress is in recess now, but their office can still be contacted.

Support Free Speech in the U.S.

By Ilan Weinglass

As many readers may know, The Free Speech Protection Act, is currently being considered by the House and Senate Judiciary Committees.  The Act is essentially a federal version of New York State's "Libel Terrorism Protection Act," aka "Rachel's Law," designed to protect U.S. authors from superfluous, though legally enforceable, lawsuits in foreign jurisdictions.   For those wishing to make a difference, a sample letter for a Congressman or Senator may be found here.

It is vitally important that this law pass, as Khalid bin Mahfouz and others have been using the rather absurd British libel laws to chill research into Saudi funding of terrorism and extremism.

Obama Flunks Saddleback

This was the big night in which John McCain and Barack Obama appeared at Rick Warren's Saddleback Church.

In a conservative Christian Evangelical setting, it wasn't long before Obama flunked out:

Warren: "When does a baby have human rights?"

Obama: "Thats above my pay grade."

Same question to McCain by Warren:

McCain: "At conception."

McCain's answer hit a home run. Obama obviously flunked that most important question for these value voters.

Concerning Warren's question about evil in the world, Obama referenced the genocide in Darfur, a father abusing his children, and a vague general answer about evil in the streets of America.

McCain's answer was to put a name on evil: Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda. There were certainly a lot more names that could have been added. For example Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic jihad, Fatah, Ahmadinejad and the Ayatollahs of Iran.

What is interesting about Obama's answer is that in referencing Darfur, he didn't put a name on it . He didn't say the genocide was the result of Islamofascist jihad.

The President of Sudan was indicted not too long ago. And of course the Organization of the Islamic Conference came to his defense and denounced the indictment.

Atlas Shrugs weighs in on Obama's take on Supreme Court judges. How he would not have voted for the confirmation of Clarence Thomas.

Thomas I think is one of the best, as well as Scalia.

American Thinker has a detailed analysis of the Saddleback forum here.

Important! Please take a moment to sign this Petition to John McCain for a townhall meeting to discuss a new U.S./Israel policy. John McCain should formally embrace the Israeli Initative as a more viable and realistic alternative to the current "Roadmap." Thanks.

Keeping Iran's Pursuit of A Nuclear Weapon in the Media Spotlight

If-31 Russia is helping Iran.

Only two weeks ago Iran's pursuit of a nuclear weapon, and the dangerous consequences of that, was the focus of much attention in the world's press.

All that has changed. The focus now is on Russia's actions in Georgia. This is understandable and rightly so.

However, the Iranian regime must be very pleased that Russia has succeeded in diverting much of the world's attention away from it's Nuke program.

To make the point:

At the time of this writing, there are no articles on Drudge Report relating to Iran's pursuit of a nuclear weapon. Nor are there any on the frontpage of WorldNetdaily. The front page of Real Clear Politics has two articles in which Iran is a main subject. But only one of those has any reference to Iran's pursuit of a Nuke. Neither the Washington Times nor the Washington Post have any articles on their front page dealing with the Iranian pursuit of a nuclear weapon.

This blog wants to keep the dangerous consequeces of a nuclear Iran in the media spotlight, as well as the Russian threat to democracy.

Concerning Russia, Georgia, and Iran, Noah Pollak writes the following:

"The response of the West to Russia’s invasion has been to dress up in tough rhetoric a helpless message: What can we do? And there isn’t much the free world can do. The most aggressive proposals consist only of arming the Georgian army and throwing military and diplomatic support behind other nations which live in Russia’s crosshairs. One important reality narrows options and prevents serious consideration of a First Gulf War-style response: the fact that Russia is a nuclear power.

This is a lesson surely not lost on the Iranian regime, which like Russia has territorial designs on its neighbors, wishes to play an outsized role in its region, and views an American-allied democracy on its borders (Iraq) with about as much benevolence as Putin views such nations on his borders. Those who confidently predict a “containable and deterrable” nuclear Iran should consider the suddenly not-so-deterrable nuclear Russia and ask themselves whether such confidence is warranted."

"Those who confidently predict a 'containable and deterrable' nuclear Iran should consider the suddenly not-so-deterrable nuclear Russia and ask themselves whether such confidence is warranted."-excellent point.

The U.S. is sending the wrong signal to Russia and Iran. Carl at Maverick News Media writes:

"That is where Iran comes into play. The ayatollahs are glued to their television screens, waiting to see how the West responds. After all, in recent years Moscow has stood by Iran's side in the face of mounting Western pressure. Russia has been supplying Iran with materials for it's nuclear program. And the Kremlin is planning to ship advanced anti-aircraft systems to the Iranians that are aimed at making it harder for Israel or the U.S. to take out their nuclear installations."

Various pundits are talking about how the current strain in U.S./Russia relations will make it more difficult to obtain Russian help with Iran. They don't get it. Russia has never wanted to help with Iran.

They want to help Iran.

Ilya Bourtman writes in the Meria Journal:

"It is possible that Russia is cozying up to governments and organizations with questionable objectives in the Middle East, so as to later trade a pledge of "non-interference" with the United States--by pledging to keep out of the Middle East, Russia could demand that the U.S. keep out of the Caucasus and Central Asia. "

"by pledging to keep out of the Middle East, Russia could demand that the U.S. keep out of the Caucasus and Central Asia."

Don't think I want to buy that. Russia is making serious money from these Islamic dictatorships. Even though that is to their own peril once the Islamofascists train their sites on Russia.

Huckabee Making Tenth Trip To Israel

PH2008020902035 Mike Huckabee will soon be making his tenth trip to Israel.

From the Yeshiva World News:

On a whirlwind two-day mission, former Republican presidential candidate and possible contender for the vice-presidency Governor Mike Huckabee, will join with Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) and Dr. Joseph D. Frager, Chairman of the Board of the Jerusalem Reclamation Project, on a “United Jerusalem” mission. “Jerusalem is the seat of three religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, but it can no more be divided than can our hearts,” said Assemblyman Hikind. Hikind and Huckabee will be meeting with Binyamin Netanyahu, the Likud candidate for Prime Minister, and will visit with victims of Kassam rocket attacks in Sderot.

Huckabee will tour the Kotel Quarter with Ateret Cohanim and survey the heroic work of the Jerusalem Reclamation Project, which has distinguished itself in reestablishing the historic millennial Jewish presence in the Old City. The Governor bucked conventional policy by supporting the creation of a Palestinian state outside of Israel proper, in Egypt or Saudi Arabia.

“Governor Huckabee’s commitment to Israel is legendary. He is one of the great American leaders whose support of the Jewish state is inviolable,” said Hikind. “This will be Huckabee’s tenth trip to Israel, carrying with it the most import, as it is the run-up to the Republican National Convention.”

Read the rest of the article here.

Arutz Sheva also reported on this with an article entitled:

"McCain's VP Mate May Be Jewish Senator or Baptist Preacher"-written by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu.

That title makes it sound like Huck came straight from the pulpit. The fact is he first won a special election to become Lt. Governor, then was elected governor, then re-elected governor. Ten and a half years as governor. Valuable executive experience should he be McCain's VP pick. However, I don't think that's going to happen.

For the most part it was a good article until the very last couple of sentences by Gedalyahu, in which he inserts this garbage questioning Huck's motive in supporting Israel:

"Huckabee, who was introduced by Hikind at the Jerusalem Reclamation Project dinner in June, has visited Israel nine times. However, most of the visits concentrated on Christian sites, and some Jews fear he backs Israel for missionary motives."

That last sentence by Gedalyahu sounds just like the propaganda that Peace Now, CMEP, the National Jewish Democratic Council, and others make against all Christians who support Israel. Especially if the Christian happens to be Republican and conservative.

In her excellent article, "Jews United For Israel's Friends", Caroline Glick wrote the following in regards to AIPAC's decision to shun Haggee:

"AIPAC's decision to shun Hagee says something terrible about the state of American Jewish politics today. Quite simply, Hagee has become a victim of liberal American Jewish leaders' decision to place their leftist political preferences above their concern for Israel's survival and for the well-being of American Jewry."

Needless to say, the Islamofascists enjoy and encourage any attack against Christians who support Israel. Regardless of where the attack comes from.

NATO Bombed Hell Out of Serbs: Lets Russia Bomb Hell Out of Georgia

1497833248_ba2954c980_m NATO was created to defend free democratic countries from the threat of Soviet Russian aggression. And the expansion of atheist communist dictatorship.

Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, one of the biggest threats to the territorial integrity of free democratic countries in Eurasia is militant Islam.

Many had regarded that a new role for NATO should be to help defend against this new spread of Islam by the sword.

Ironically, it was NATO that defended and aided Muslim jihadists in Bosnia and Kosovo in the 90's during the Clinton Administration.

NATO bombed the hell out of the Serbs whose actions must be seen in the context of centurys of Muslim occupation and persecution.

In the same manner that the Crusades were for the most part a defensive reaction to the spread of Islam by the sword.

In short, the U.S. under Clinton, and NATO led by Supreme Commander Wes Clark, were on the wrong side.  Link from Natalie at Birdbrain.

Kosovo had long been a part of Serbia and the ties are long and historic with the Serbian Christians who reside there.

President Bush has been on the wrong side in supporting an independent Kosovo. This has resulted in the Serbs of Kosovo being surounded by a Muslim population and cut off from Serbia military protection.

Kosovo independence-the islamist threat. Video.

And now we have Russia using the pretext of a border dispute concerning Ossetia to launch a massive bombardment and invasion of Georgia.

Georgia, a former Soviet satilite, but now staunchly democratic, a pro-Western ally and friend who has helped out in Iraq. Under the Russian gun.

Where is NATO?

They are no where. What an outrage!

This is what NATO was really created for in the first place. And they do nothing.

In regards to Afghanistan, NATO assistance has been very dissappointing.  U.S. Sect. of Defense Robert Gates has stressed the need for more NATO troops, remarked that because most Europeans don't like U.S. involvement in Iraq, that transfers over to European help with Afghanistan.

When it comes to the global fight with Islamofascism, Europe still doesn't get it.

At the very least NATO could help with the eradication of those poppy fields in Afghanistan.

One source of jihadi terror funding comes from the poppy fields of Afghanistan. Of which the deadly heroin drug is produced from.

Russian gangsters sell arms and munitions to Taliban in exchange for heroin. Some 93% of world's opium comes from Afghanistan. The idea has been to convince Afghan farmers to grow other crops instead.

For example grapes, which use to be one of Afghanistan's main agricultural crops. One reporter commented on the problem:

"An Afghan who was optimistic enough to plant a vine today could expect to wait five years before seeing any return for it, whereas a quick planting of poppies will  see pods flourishing in six months. There is a solution:

NATO and the U.S. should immediately eradicate all those poppy fields. As the Afghan government is unwilling to do so.Then the international community should re-direct billions in financial aid to Mahmoud Abbas and the Fatah PLO terror group to suppliment the Afghan farmers until financial returns are realized from the planting of grapes and other products.

Russia Helping Iran: Diverting Attention From Iran's Nuke Program

PutinDM1705_468x522 At left a photo of Putin from Daily Mail.

What is Russia up to with it's aggression against Georgia?

The prevailing theory is that Russia has used the border dispute over Ossetia as a pretext for aggression against Georgia.

Russia has made no secret over it's unhappiness over the prospect of Georgia and other former Soviet satilite countrys becoming members of NATO.

In July Russia threatened military action over the setting up of a Missile Defense Shield.

And then there's the oil pipeline through Georgia. Which Russia would like to have control of.

But there is one other obvious purpose behind the current Russian action:

It has succeeded in diverting much of the world's attention away from Iran's Nuke program. Which they have helped Iran to build.

Especially as the window of time before Iran acquires a Nuke gets shorter everyday. One estimate says Iran could have a Nuke in six months.

And incidentally, Iran is due to recieve a shipment of high-tech anti-aircraft Tor-300 missiles from Russia. Which of course would be used against any strike on Iran's Nuke facilities.

Clueless Condi Speaks: "America Will Be OK Under Obama"

320724844_4f23955009_m Condi Rice may be Republican, but she is "RINO" Republican. And she thinks America will be ok under Obama.

She is liberal on abortion.

Her foreign policy views are not much different than Obama's.

When asked in an interview if she would feel secure with a President Obama, Rice responded:

"Oh the United States will be fine."

She too is in agreement with the Islamic propaganda concerning Israel and the Middle East:

"The only Palestinian state that can come from Condoleezza Rice's zealotry will be a dagger pointed at the heart of Israel, a safe haven for terrorists, and a threat to the U.S. and other Western nations."-Frank Gaffney

Indeed, Condi Rice has made over 20 trips to Israel to bully them and pressure them to make concessions to a Muslim society that seeks their destruction. This woman is in incredibly deep denial. Dangerous denial.

Instead of meeting with the likes of Jimmy Carter, Madelyn Albright, and Clinton appointed Dennis Ross for advice on the Middle East, she should rather gain insight from folks like Daniel Pipes, Frank Gaffney, John Bolton, and Caroline Glick.

Mexico Soldiers Commiting Acts of War Against U.S.!

Mexican soldiers trespassed the border into the U.S. and held a U.S. border patrol agent at gunpoint.

The Mexican soldiers returned across the border back into Mexico when other U.S. border patrol agents came to assist.

According to the Washington Times report:

"Unfortunately, this sort of behavior by Mexican military personnel has been going on for years," union Local 2544 of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) said on its Web page. "They are never held accountable, and the United States government will undoubtedly brush this off as another case of 'Oh well, they didn't know they were in the United States."

President Bush has said the Administration will not militarize the border in an effort to secure the border and stop illegal entry.

In fact, just recently National Guard troops on duty at the border to assist border patrol agents were withdrawn.

However, it would seem that Mexico has militarized their side of the border, to some extent. Or else Mexican soldiers would not be there.

Unfortunately, there purpose there seems to be other than actual border enforcement on their side. There are reports that they have been involved with drug smuggling.

British MP Crispin Blunt: "Dhimmi" Dimwit Of The Month

GRAPHIC%5CPORTRAIT%5Cportrait-crispinblunt-2005 At left, a photo of British MP Crispin Blunt. Who earns the award for "Dhimmi Dimwit" of the month.

Crispin is a British parliament member who co-chairs CAABU:

CAABU is the "Council For The Advancement of Arab-British Understanding."

It should rather be called " Council For The Advancement of British Dhimmitude."

The best way to describe this group is to say that it disseminates Islamist propaganda on a variety of issues. Is anti-America, anti-West, and anti-Israel.

A commenter on Robert Spencer's blog Jihad Watch described CAABU this way:

"In reality, it's a pro-Palestinian, pro-Islam lobby group, very well-connected in media and political circles, with particularly strong ties to anti-Israel elements on the British Left. It has helped organise boycotts of Israeli goods, and is a regular and virulent defender of Hamas and other Pally terror groups in the UK press." -Matamoros, Feb. 2008

The particular post on Jihad Watch in which the above comment appeared is here.

Harry Cummings lost his job as a civil servant with the British Council due to complaints about his articles in the Telegraph on confronting the dangers posed by the increasing Islamazation of Britain. Here is a link to one of those articles:

The Tories Must Confront Islam Instead Of Kowtowing To It-Cummings

A CAABU director posted a statement on it's website attacking Cummings for speaking out. As well as criticising Rod Liddle for writing a defense of Cummings.

Back to Crispin:

Crispin wrote the British Foriegn Office minister Kim Howells complaining about the invitation of three members of the Israeli Yesha Council to a celebration of the Queen's birthday held at the British Ambassador's residence.

For those not familiar, the Yesha Council represents Israelis who live in areas in Judea and Samaria beyond the '67 borders.

Crispin's complaint was that inviting the Yesha members to official events sent the wrong signal:

"Entertaining the pioneers of this colonization movement has certainly given the strong impression that Britain tacitly endorses it or no longer objects to it."-Crispin

What a dimwit!

It was the Arab Muslims who invaded, "occupied", and "colonized" Israeli land as well as North Africa, Spain, and the broader Middle East in the 7th century.
