Solution To The UN Problem: Apply Eminent Domain

Because a new parking lot will be of greater public good than the current occupants of that real estate.

According to the definition:

"Eminent Domain [not iminent] is when the government can control the use of land directly by acquiring the property itself and exercising the perogatives towards it. If the current owner of the land is unwilling to sell, unlike private individuals, can judicially compel its transfer through an eminent domain or condemnation action."

"The government must prove that there is a 'public use' involved. In other words, the use of the land as to what best serves the public."

The use of the land as to what best serves the public.

That means there is a slam-dunk case against the current occupants of that piece of real estate, known as the UN.

The following are a list of "condemnations" that can succesfully be applied towards the UN:

  1. Unwilling to formulate a definition as to what constitutes terrorism.
  2. Unwilling to act against genocide in Sudan.
  3. Unwilling to act against terrorist organizations or even designate them by name. Such as Hamas, Hizbullah, Islamic Jihad, Fatah, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, PLO, Kosovo Liberation Army[KLA]. There are others.
  4. Promoting racism through its racism conferences: Durban.
  5. Actively employing terrorists through its various agencys. Such as UNRWA.
  6. Inadequate financial tranparency and oversite.
  7. UN officials actively working against U.S. national interests.

UN Human Rights Council Exposed:

UN Human Rights Council: An Absurd Organization Beyond Repair

The UN Human Rights Council is "beyond repair."

Those were the words used by U.S. Rep. Ros-Lehtinen in response to today's election of members to the UNHRC.

"The election of Pakistan and Bahrain to the UN Human Rights Council again demonstrates that abiding by conventional standards of human rights is by no means a prerequisite for holding a seat on the Counil."

"The results of today's election further means that the Organization of the Islamic Conference has tightened it's grip on the Council, and will continue to push through anti-Israel resolutions, sanction the oppression of free speech through the guise of anti-defamation resolutions, and give freedom to brutal regimes in Uzbekistan, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo."

"As the newly elected members join repressive regimes such as Cuba, Saudi Arabia, and China on the Council, it becomes ever clearer that the UN's human rights infrastructure is beyond repair. The United States is correct in distancing itself from this absurd organization by refusing membership and withholding funds for it's support."-U.S. Rep Ros-Lehtineh.

How The Palestinians Can Win

Choose to live in peace.

The reason why there are checkpoints.

The reason why there are roadblocks.

The reason why there is a security barrier, which Arabs call the 'wall', is because of terror and violence against Israelis.

The reason why there are border closings, is again because of violence and terror.

The reason why the refuge camps still exist is because of mismanagement of $ millions and millions of foreign aid that has been squandered. Some of it has lined the pockets of PLO leaders.

A substancial amount of that donor aid money has been used to foster and promote hatred against America and Israel in official Palestinian media and school books.

Why do many Palestinians live in conditions of poverty?

Israel is not to blame.

Palestinians complain about freedom of movement. Complaints about the security barrier, the checkpoints, and roadblocks.

If it was not for the many terrorist attacks against Israelis these things would not exist and there would be no impediment to travel in the region.

Consider this for a moment:

Israel lifts travel restrictions, Palestinians start going to work, to shops, to plants, etc.---And then--an attack is made against Israelis.--And then--the travel restrictions are again tightened.

That terror attack "disrupts" the lives of innocent Palestinians. There fellow Palestinians have engaged in an act of terrorism against Israelis which results in the setting up of roadblocks, checkpoints, etc.

Palestinian violence and terrorism against Israelis harms the lives of Palestinians.

Palestinian terrorism against Israelis causes 'all' Palestinians to lose.

How can Palestinians win?

Choose to live in peace. No treaty needs to be signed to choose to live in peace. No fancy political agreements have to be made to choose peace. You just start doing it.

And if the vast majority, or hopefully 'all' Palestinians, were to be of this frame of mind, not engaging in violence or terror, then after a while, when trust has been gained, the need for such security measures as roadblocks and checkpoints will no longer exist.

Once that happens, Palestinians could have a vibrant economy and lifestyle.

If they choose it. In the past, and in the present they don't.

As long as current Palestinian society continues to honor and glorify terrorists who murder innocent Israelis, as long as Palestinians celebrate 'Nakba', as long as Palestinians engage in violence and terrorism against Israelis, they will only succeed in ruining their own future and their own lives.

Palestinians need to acknowledge Israel's historic ties and rights to Jerusalem and the 'land of Israel'.

In the 7th century it was the Arab Muslims who invaded and "occupied" the broader Middle East from Arabia. The Muslims conducted an "occupation" of the land of Israel, as well as North Africa.

Are not the Muslims in Egypt today primarily of Arabic descent? They are there because their ancestors from Arabia invaded and conducted an "occupation."

This is how Muslims came to be in the land of Israel. Invasion and "occupation."

In June of 1967, for the first time in about 2000 years, Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, were no longer under "occupation" but were restored to Israel by the mighty hand of Almighty God.

There can be a bright hope and future for the Arabs who acknowledge this and choose to live in peace instead of choosing to hate Israel.

News Flash For Obama: Iran Has Already Attacked The United States

The United States has already been attacked by Iran.

An attack on U.S. troops certainly constitutes an attack on the United States.

And this Iran has already done via their Shia proxys in Iraq.

Iran has trained Iraqi insurgents in the use of roadside bombs.

Last August, U.S. General Odierno said:

"Insurgents trained in Iran have been firing rockets and motars at Baghdad's Green Zone with greater precision, and money from Iran is ending up in the hands of Iraqi insurgents."

A video captured by U.S. troops shows terrorists firing Iranian-made rockets at American troops.

Iranian Revolutionary Guards have been captured in Iraq, attacking U.S. troops.

U.S. envoy says Iran will not give up enriching uranium for a nuke. The governing regime in Iran is driven by a militant Islamic ideology.

Islamist Insults American Intelect

In the video clip below, Islamist propagandist Shaykh Hamza charges that Americans are almost "braindead distorting Islam."

He also says that as Americans we have "no ability to think " or critically analyse, but simply regurgitate what comes from the MSM.

In addition, he says that the only intellectuals speaking up are "arcane" or "obtuse".

Oh rats, now I'm gona have to go get the dictionary out!

"Arcane"- Understood by only a few.

Well, I think highly educated and studied intellectuals like Robert Spencer and Daniel Pipes are understood by many of us. As well as Craig Winn, author of Prophet Of Doom-Islam's Terrorist Dogma In Muhammad's Own Words.

"Obtuse"- Not sharp or ponted;blunt. Slow to understand or percieve.

Again, I think there are a lot of us Americans who are very sharp, able to understand, and percieve the threat and danger of Islam all on our own.

We do not "regurgitate" what comes from the MSM, but rather we contend with anti-America, anti-Israel bias and distortion in the media.

Obama Diggs Himself In Deeper With New Adviser

250daniel_alon20ron_2 Barack Obama's new foreign policy adviser, Daniel Kurtzer, is just as bad if not worse than Robert Malley.

Kurtzer is reported as saying:

" It will be impossible to make progress on serious peace talks without  putting the future of Jerusalem on the table."

Here's my translation of Kurtzer's statement:

" The Islamists will not grant us a Hudna unless Jerusalem is surrendered to their demands."

The JPPPI head, Yechezkel Dror, said that Jerusalem must become the cultural center of the Jewish people.

To that Kurtzer responded:

"Before we do that , we must first accept a number of facts and the political reality of Arabs who live in [eastern] Jerusalem who do not feel part of the city."

The political reality is that Jerusalem is the undivided capital of Israel. The Congress of the United States concurred in 1995 with the Jerusalem Embassy Relocation Act. We just need a president who will be a true friend of our ally Israel and quit signing those stupid waivers.

In his article "Obama's New Foreign Policy Adviser Daniel Kurtzer," Ed Lasky of American Thinker writes:

"But what type of policies would Kurtzer work toward? What does he believe is the way forward?"

"He does have a record, and it may displease many supporters of the American-Israel relationship."

"Kurtzer was also a key figure in the decisions that led to the recognition of the Palestinian Liberation Organization and Yasser Arafat as the legitimate and sole representative of the Palestinian people. A decision that has brought about much violence and despair and is a source of many of the problems that still roil the region."-Read Lasky's entire article.

In 2001, Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily wrote,"Kurtzer Is Wrong For Israel", an article in regards to President Bush considering Kurtzer for the post of U.S. ambassador to Israel.

In that article Farah wrote, " Though he is an orthodox Jew, Kurtzer has a long-standing antipathy toward Israel."

Considering the support Obama has from Hamas , the Electronic Intifada, and other Israel hating Islamists, this addition to his campaign is right in line.

In regards to the statement made by Kurtzer on the physical reality :

The physical reality is that if Arabs will not live in peace and acknowledge a united Jerusalem as Israel's capital city, then they should go live in an Arab country outside of Israel.

If they won't live in peace, and they won't voluntarily go, then they should be expelled.

Expelled?!!!

What? You can't be serious? Can you? Wouldn't that be too harsh?

It is guaranteed that the UN, EU, Quartet, our own Condi Rice and President Bush would think so.

But they didn't think it was too harsh for thousands of Israelis to be expelled and forcibly uprooted from their own homes and land in Gaza and northern Samaria in August 2005! Condi Rice and Bush both encouraged it!

Speaking of the Gaza expulsion:

For six days in a row from August 16th-22nd 2005, thousands of Israelis were forcibly expelled from their homes and land. In large part because of American pressure on Israel with the "Roadmap."

Seven days to the day later on August 29th, tens of thousands of Americans were expelled from their homes and land by an Act of God called "Katrina".

If we recall, the experts said 2006 would be a worse year for hurricanes. As it was, not one made landfall on our coasts.

That was explained away by the experts who said there was some sort of el-nino in play. But there would be bad storms in 2007. Again, not one made landfall on our coasts.

It's as if Someone is saying, "I'm Boss."

Who is this who commands the wind and the sea and they obey Him?

"Lightning, hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do His bidding."- Ps.148:8

Folly Of Pre-Mature UN Imposed Lebanon Ceasefire Now Apparent

It is being reported that Hizbullah has overrun West Beirut in recent fighting.

Just a few weeks ago a Unifil "peacekeeper" force was intimadated and run off by Hizbullah gunmen.

The pre-mature UN imposed ceasefire between Israel and Hizbullah in 2006, which U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice "caved in" to, resulted in the weak UN Res. 1701.

The original American position was for the much tougher Chapter 7 language which would have provided for a strong enforcement mandate.

However, Condi Rice took upon herself the task of negotiations for the U.S. and was quick to agree to the weak 1701 Resolution, with observer status only and no enforcement capability.

The current Prime Minister of Lebanon, Fuad Saniora, said it cannot be tolerated any longer for Hizbullah to have weapons. Yet it was Saniora who was among the most fierce critics of Israel's offensive against Hizbullah in 2006.

On one occasion, Saniora even "thanked" Hizbullah.

Jews Perpetrating Terror Upon Jews?

Location On Thursday, March 20th 2008, a terrorist attack was made against an Israeli family in Ariel, Samaria.

An explosive device was concealed in a Purim gift basket. The device exploded when the unsuspecting 16 year old son of David Ortiz, a well known Messianic pastor opened the "gift."

Ami Ortiz's life was saved. He suffered terrible wounds and burns, and continues to be in much pain physically and emotionally.

According to a recent update by Shekinah blog, the police have a clear lead. The Ortiz home fortunately had security cameras installed. The individual responsible for leaving the Purim "gift" basket was clearly photographed. Though as of the time of that update no arrest had been made. It is possible that others were also involved.

Information recieved from police by the Ortiz family conveys that it was not an Islamic terrorist assault. But is strongly believed to have been perpetrated by extremist anti-missionary Jews.

If true, it constitutes an additional tradgedy. One that causes injury to all of Israel:

Jews perpetrating terror upon Jews.

What absolute shame!

In August of 2005 the world watched in disbelief, some with glee, the horrible sad spectacle of Jews forcibly uprooting and expelling their own fellow Jewish countryman from their homes and land in Gaza and northern Samaria.

Not too long ago there was the unsightly spectacle of Jews participating in Mr. "Wipe them off the map" Ahmadinejad's Iranian Holocaust denial conference in Tehran.

Just yesterday a group of Haredim Jews attacked a 50 year old Israeli man for hanging a flag of Israel. The Haredim are anti-zionist and say Jews in Israel have no right to self-determination. What are they doing in Israel then?

One thing you can be absolutely certain of:

As Israel celebrates it's 60th anniversary of Independence, there will be thousands of patriotic Israel loving Messianic Jews celebrating and expressing their patriotism and support for Israel as well!

The persecution of Messianic believers in Yeshua by many Ultra-Orthodox is well known. Is it not Shas who represents the Ultra-Orthodox? Is it not Shas that continues to empower the current weak "appeasement" government of Ehud Olmert by refusing to quit? Even while negotiations are made to surrender Judea and Samaria for a Palestinian terror state?

Here is a video link to statements made by David Ortiz, father of the young Israeli wounded in that dispicable act of terror.

From elsewhere:

Religious Extremism Threatens Life of Israeli Teen-Ariel municipality website.

Update 10/31/09 From Jpost:

"The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and Israel Police have arrested an American-born Jewish settler who is allegedly behind an unprecedented series of deadly terror shootings and bombings spanning over a decade, in which two Palestinians were killed and Israel Prize Laureate Prof. Ze'ev Sternhell was injured. According to the Shin Bet, he also planted a bomb at the entrance to house of a messianic family in Ariel, seriously wounding their son, then-15-year-old Ami Ortiz. "

Ortiz family reaction:

"The Ortiz family said that they do not hold the religious community to blame for the attack, and that they understand it is only a very small minority of the community that would carry out such an attack."

"When the family found out that the alledged perpetrator of the attack was Jewish 'it really hurt, Ami said, 'because it's like your own brother has done something like this to you."-more here.

Taking Walter Isaacson To Task

Isaacson300dpi_2 Walter Isaacson is a co-chair of the U.S. Palestinian Public-Private Partnership, which has been previously written about. Isaacson is also the President and CEO of Aspen Institute, which serves to help facilitate the USPPP.

Early last March, Isaacson wrote an article published in the Washington Post entitled," Let's Help The Good Guys In The West Bank."

This blog post is a rebuttal to that article.

Two things Mr. Isaacson:

First, it's not the West Bank, it's Judea and Samaria.

Secondly, the folks that you want to help ,aint good guys anymore than Hamas.

Mr. Isaacson began his article with the following statement:

"The rocket attacks on Israel launched by Hamas militants in Gaza, coupled with Israel's retaliation, have disrupted peace talks between Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. This is a great victory for the radicals in Hamas, who never wanted such talks. While visiting the region this week, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is trying to remind everyone that the real goal is to weaken Hamas."-Isaacson

In the above statement Mr. Isaacson seems to make the mistake of moral equivalency between Islamic terror attacks against Israel, and Israel's counter-terror measures to defend herself. Referring to counter-terrorism operations as "retaliation".

This is in line with the MSM's use of such phrases as "tit for tat", or "cycle of violence". As it would be highly inappropriate to describe our U.S. fight with Al-Qaeda Islamofascists as a "cycle of violence", so it is equally inappropriate to describe Israel's fight in those terms as well. The same "War on [Islamic] Terror" America fights , is the same war our ally Israel fights.

Additionally, it was Mahmoud Abbas who initially "disrupted" those talks himself to protest Israel's counter-terrorism offensive in Gaza. Israel's counter-terrorism operations do not "disrupt" peace or peace talks. Hamas achieves a victory when counter-terrorism operations are "disrupted" because of political pressure on Israel. And that strenghthens Hamas.

Hamas doesn't want the talks because they are more publically honest than Fatah. They say it straight out, they want to destroy Israel, while Abbas, Fayyad, and Fatah prefer a Phased Plan.

Now if Abbas was committed to peace and confronting terrorism as President Bush, Condi Rice, Walter Isaacson and others like to portray him as,if the goal is to weaken Hamas, then neither Abbas nor Rice would want to do anything to "disrupt" Israel's counter-terrorism operations to that end. As it was, Israel withdrew forces from Gaza coinciding with Rice's visit. This action no doubt served to help Hamas not weaken Hamas.

Earlier this year, Abbas lashed out against an Israeli counter-terrorism operation,-from LGF

Isaacson continued:

"We have a perfect opportunity--which will probably last no more than a year if it's not energetically nurtured--to show Palestinians that supporting moderates such as Fayyad, rather than the radicals of Hamas, can pay off by producing prosperity and peace."

They don't want prosperity and peace. If they did, they would have been living in peace with Israel the past 60 years. Their constant waging war and terrorism against Israel is driven by their Islamic ideology. Isaacson needs to read the blog post by Old Neocon," So That's Why The Muslims Hate The Jews So.

There was also an interesting part of that statement by Isaacson. An opportunity -"that will probably last no more than a year". What is Isaacson making referrence to here? He doesn't say. Perhaps he has in mind the next Palestinian Parliamentary elections, in which Hamas may well be the victor once again. This time, in the Arab populated areas of Judea and Samaria.

"And the State Dept. has set up a U.S. Palestinian Partnership, which I chair, designed to coordinate government and private-sector efforts to provide job opportunities, youth training centers and buisness investment."

"The youth centers are being built by the U.S. Agency for International Development and will be run by Fayyad's impressive minister of youth, Tahini Abu Daqqa. She took members of our partnership to Hebron last month to inspect the site of one of these centers, and the young people there spoke of their eagerness for technology training and Internet access."-Isaacson

Did you mention Hebron? Students at the Palestine Tech Inst. in Hebron gave Hamas a sweeping victory in their student elections. Did you mention technology training and internet access? Nothing like providing them with the skills and expertise they need for "cyber jihad". See a related post below: American University Has "Partnership" With Pro-Hamas University."

Mr. Isaacson also discusses the upcoming Palestine Investment Conference which will be dealt with in a separate post. Suffice it to say that as long as Abbas, Fatah, and the Palestinian Authority continue to promote and foster anti -America, anti-Israel hatred in there official Palestinian Authority media, as long as they refuse the right of Israel to exist as the Jewish State of Israel, the Palestine Investment Conference should be boycotted by every responsible buisness man and company in the world.

Isaacson concluded his article with this :

"Freer movement and access could lead to more investment and economic opportunities, which would help shore up the forces of moderation and peace that now prevail in the West Bank."- Again Mr. Isaacson, it's Judea and Samaria.

Rather freer movement and access for terrorists. The only reason there is any degree of stability in Judea and Samaria is because of the presence of the IDF and Jewish towns.

Mr. Isaacson, if you really would like to help the situation, use your talents and resources to be a blessing and a support for our ally Israel, still the apple of God's eye. Use your resources at the Aspen Institute to support the Israel Initative-The Right Road To Peace.
