This is just one reason why both President Bush and Condi Rice are among the top nominees for the "American Dhimmi Of The Year Award" at Robert Spencer's Jihad Watch.
The U.S. Administration led by President Bush and Condi Rice at the State Dept. are "sticking it" to Israel at the UN Security Council:
"Council members met Saturday in a closed-door emergency session to discuss a US-drafted resolution, strongly backed by Russia, that appeared to have near-unanimous support.
A vote on it by the 15-nation council is expected Tuesday.
The two-page draft resolution calls on Israelis and Palestinians "to fulfill their obligations" under last year's peace deal brokered at Annapolis, Maryland, and for all nations and international groups "to contribute to an atmosphere conducive to negotiations."
The council would reiterate "its vision of a region where two democratic states, Israel and Palestine, live side by side in peace within secure and recognized borders."
Those US-sponsored talks had set a goal of achieving a substantive peace accord before US President George W. Bush leaves office in January, a scenario that appears all but impossible now.
Now, the US focus is on a smooth hand-off to US President-elect Barack Obama that keeps up the momentum for peace, said US Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, who made a symbolic point of standing beside Russian Ambassador Vitaly Churkin while addressing reporters after the council session."
What a dispicable, shameful ,deplorable, "end-around" move!
Condi made good on her threat:
"Israel Television Channel One Correspondent Ayala Chason reported on the evening Mabat News program that PM Olmert and FM Livini both oppose plans by
U.S. Secretary of State Rice to pass a UN Security Council Resolution that
would, among other things, call for the establishment of a Palestinian
state.
Rice told Olmert and Livni of her plans during her recent visit to Israel."
The polls in Israel all show the majority of Israelis have had enough of "appeasement" policies that weaken Israel and only bring more terror. And that is reflected by the strong lead that Likud has.
Rice and her "dhimmi" cohorts expect Netanyahu and Likud to come out on top in the Feb.10th, '09 Israeli elections. So this is obviously a lowdown and dirty diplomatic stunt before those elections.

Update 12/15/08-
The UN Security Council has had it's vote.
They adapted yet another biased anti-Israel resolution.
14 of the 15 council members voted for it with only Libya abstaining.
The U.S, led by Rice, [ my nominated American Dhimmi of the Year], joined with the others in ramming this pathetic dhimmi resolution down Israel's throat.
Shame!
