Yes To The American Dream, No To The Dream Act!

The pursuit of the American Dream should only be for those who are in our country legally, and came here legally.

A "pathway to citizenship" will not only reward those who broke the law and showed contempt for this country's sovereignty by trespassing our borders, but also encourage others to do the same.

Illegal aliens account for $10 billion in the country's health care costs.

The burden illegal aliens place on the American taxpayer are huge nation wide. In Virginia:

"A new study from a nonprofit group that wants tighter border security and immigration controls finds the costs of providing certain services to those in Virginia illegally is about $625 per household."

"That number represents the costs per household after deducting for money illegal workers give to the state by way of tax revenues, the Federation for American Immigration Reform states in its report, “The Costs of Illegal Immigration to Virginians.”

The solution is not "amnesty" or rewarding those who showed contempt for our sovereignty and border with a "pathway to citizenship". That will only encourage more of the same.

Instead, Congress should adapt the model worked up by immigration specialist Mark Krikorian. Win by "attrition and enforcement."

Nothing will work overnight. But the most important matter is that the border be secured. No more illegal entrys.Then over time with rigid enforcement, the battle to secure the border and diminish the illegal alien presence will succeed.

The bill to bring back the "Dream Act" , HR 1751, was reintroduced in the U.S. House this past March.  Last action it was refered to the House Subcommittee on Higher Education back in May.

British Government Funds Anti-Israel Political Activity--Inside Israel

Watchdogs that monitor Arabic language media perform an invaluable service. 

They inform us of what is said in a foreign language that most of the English speaking West would never know about, if it were'nt for their work. 

For example, this sermon preached from a mosque by a "paid employee" of the Palestinian Authority in which he states that Islam will rule the world.

More recently, this report of Muhammed Dahlan's acknowledgement that the Fatah has never recognized Israel's right to exist.

That the PA's  "recognition" is only for the purpose of obtaining international financial aid. Not a true recognition of Israel. 

They pull the mask off of the propaganda peddled to the English speaking West of the "moderate" Palestinian Authority, and expose it's "doublespeak" and true intentions. 

Mabye it was because the interview was with the Dubai based Al-Aribiya instead of Western media, and Martin Day, British government spokesman, was more than candid of his governments "anti-Israel political activities" inside the State of Israel:  

There is this report today in JPost that the rest of the MSM, at the time of this post, has not bothered to cover:

"British spokesman Martin Day said in an interview in Dubai with Al-Arabiya television last week that the British government was "taking practical steps towards freezing settlement activities."

"For instance," Day said, "we finance projects aimed at halting settlement activities. One of these projects seeks to build new Palestinian neighborhoods in east Jerusalem and save Palestinian houses from demolition."

In addition, Day said in an Arabic interview, "we also finance organizations that monitor settlement activities."

He further stated that "products from the settlements do not enjoy preferential custom duties that we offer to products coming from Israel. In light of this, we can say that we are taking effective and practical steps against settlement activities."

[In light of this, you are publically saying that your British government has taken the side of the Islamists, and is actively funding political activities against Israel.]]

"The Foreign Ministry's senior deputy director general, Rafi Barak, spoke with British Ambassador Tom Phillips two days ago and asked for an explanation. He met with the British envoy again on Wednesday to again discuss the matter and voice Israel's displeasure. "-JPost.

Caroline Glick noted in 2007,

"... B'Tselem and Hamoked are radical leftist organizations with documented histories of falsifying and distorting data."

" No mention was made of the funding these groups receive from European countries..."

The governments Norway, England, and Sweden are top contibutors to the radical leftist anti-Israel "Peace Now" and "B'Tselem".

No pretense at being neutral, they have publically taken the side of the Islamists. Feeding the crocodile, hoping it will it eat them last.

 

 

 

 

 

Obama's Syria Track: Rapidly Accelerating Appeasement

The Obama team has lifted a ban on the sale of some high-tech equipment to Syria. A recognized state sponsor of terrorism. WSJ reports:

"The Obama administration has told Syria that it will work to ease U.S. sanctions against Damascus, as Washington intensifies its pursuit of détente with a longtime Middle East rival."

[As Obama intensifies his efforts to legitimize a dictatorial state sponsor of terrorism, having just recently decided to return a U.S. ambassador]

"The U.S. decision targets spare aircraft parts, information-technology products and telecommunications equipment, sales of which have been restricted by U.S. sanctions on Syria enacted in 2004. The step was conveyed Sunday by Washington's special Mideast envoy, George Mitchell, to Syrian President Bashar Assad during an hour-long meeting in Damascus."

"The move represents the latest action in a rapidly accelerating reaproachement between Washington and Damascus initiated after President Barack Obama took office this year, said officials from both countries."

The ban is formally called the "Syria Accountability and Lebanese Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2003". HR 1828.

Signed into law by President Bush in 2004. The Act bans the exporting to Syria of all items on the Commerce Control List.The full text is here.

The purpose of the Act is to-

"To halt Syrian support for terrorism, end its occupation of Lebanon, and stop its developement of weapons of mass destruction, and by so doing hold Syria accountable for the serious international security problems it has caused in the Middle East, and for other purposes."

In that regard Congress made a total of 34 "findings" as important reasons for the action taken.These are listed in numerical order in the text of the bill.

For example, in numerical order in the text, "finding #1 reads:

1. On June 24th 2002, President Bush stated "Syria must choose the right side in the war on terror by closing terrorist camps and expelling terrorist organizations."

[Hizbullah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, they all still operate freely in Syria.]

2. United Nations Security Council Resolution 1373 [September 28, 2001] mandates that all states refrain from providing any form of support , active or passive, to entities or persons involved in terrorist acts, and deny safe haven to those who finance, plan, support, or commit terrorist acts.

3. The Government of Syria is currently prohibited by the United States law from receiving United States assistance because it has repeatedly provided support for acts of international terrorism, as determined by the Secretary of State for purposes of section 6[j][1] of the Export Administration Act of 1979 [ 50 U.S.C. App.240 [j][1] and other provisions of law.

[Lifting the ban on the sale of high-tech equipment such as telecommunications and information technology is providing support to a state sponsor of terrorism, Hizbullah and other Islamic terrorist groups that operate freely in Syria will certainly gain access.]

It is not necessary to reproduce the whole list of findings here, they can be viewed by the reader easy enough by visiting the link to the Syria Accountability Act.

But here are a few of the most noteworthy findings:

5. Terrorist groups, including Hizballah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and the PFLP's General Command, maintain offices, training camps, and other facilities on Syrian territory, and operate in areas of Lebanon occupied by Syrian armed forces and recieve supplies from Iran through Syria.

20. On May 6, 2002, the Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, John Bolton, stated, "The United States knows Syria has long had a chemical warfare program. It has a stockpile of the nerve agent VX. Syria, which has signed but not ratified the [Biological Weapons Convention], is pursuing the developement of biological weapons and is able to produce at least small amounts of biological warfare agents.

27. Syria's illegal imports and transshipments of Iraqi oil during Saddam Hussein's regime earned Syria $ 50,000,000 or more per month as Syria continued to sell its own Syrian oil at market prices.

[ One reason why the UN should be rejected as no longer a useful constructive body is demonstrated in #30 below]

30. Despite Article 23[1] of the United Nations Charter, Syria was elected on October 8,2001, to a 2-year term as a nonpermanent member of the United Nations Security Council beginning January 1, 2002, and served as President of the Security Council during June 2002 and August 2003.

[Imagine that.]

31. On March 31,2003, the Syrian Foreign Minister, Farouq al-Sharra, made the Syrian regime's intentions clear when he explicitly stated that "Syria's interest is to see the invaders, [U.S. Coalition Forces], defeated in Iraq.

32. On April 13th 2003, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld charged that 'busloads of Syrian fighters entered Iraq with hundreds of thousands of dollars and leaflets offering rewards for dead American soldiers.

33. ...Syria permitted volunteers to pass into Iraq to attack and kill our service members  during the war, and is still doing so*** [Syria's] behavior during Operation Iraqi Fredom underscores the importance of taking seroiusly reports and information on Syria's WMD capabilities.

[Thank goodness Israel took it seroiusly, and "took out" Syria's nuclear site.]

Reading through the list of 34 "findings" that served as the basis for the Syria Accountability Act, a total of six would no longer apply today.

This is only because Saddam is no longer in power in Iraq to to continue selling oil illegally to Syria, and because Syria has withdrawn its army from Lebanon. [However, their proxy army Hizbullah is ]. 

Obama Pressing Israel: But wait,....No You Can't!

Israelis and Americans are loudly protesting Obama's policies and pressure on Israel.

On July 17th the U.S. State Dept. summoned Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren to "demand" that Israel not allow a housing project to go forward in the Shimon Hatzadik neighborhood of eastern Jerusalem.

Daniel Pipes provides some excellent background on this Jerusalem neighborhood in his article "Obama and Israel: Into The Abyss":

"Some background: Zionists founded the Hatzadik neighborhood in 1891 by purchasing the land from Arabs, then, due to Arab riots and Jordanian conquest, abandoned the area."

"Amin al-Husseini, Jerusalem's pro-Nazi mufti, put up a building in the 1930's that later served as the Shepherd Hotel [not to be confused with the renowned Shepheard's Hotel in Cairo]."

"After 1967, the Israelis designated the land "absentee property". Irving Moskowitz, an American buisnessman, bought the land in 1985 and rented the building to the border police until 2002. His company, C and M Properties, won final permission two weeks ago to renovate the hotel and build apartments on the land."

Earlier this month Israelis held a protest at the U.S. Consolate to give Obama one very loud message:

Esther Pollard, another participant, had the most important message for Obama:

"your problem isn't with Prime Minister Netanyahu, nor is it with the People of Israel. Your problem, Mr. President, is with the almighty God of Israel!"

Last week over four thousand Christian supporters of Israel gathered at the annual Christians United for Israel summit in DC.

Their strong protest against Obama's pressure on Israel was demonstrated in a message to Israeli PM Netanyahu by CUFI's founder John Haggee:

"50 million Christians support Israel's sovereign right to grow and develope the settlements of Israel as you see fit and not yeild to the pressure of the United States government."

 

 

 

 

U.S. Transfers $200 Million In Violation of Anti-Terrorism Act

The Obama Administration has transfered $200 million directly to the Fatah PA in violation of the criteria of the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act of 2006. 

The Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act of 2006 has very specific criteria that the Palestinian Authority must be in compliance with in order to recieve any U.S. funding.

 Section 620K contains the following criteria:

The President must certify to Congress that

`(1) no ministry, agency, or instrumentality of the Palestinian Authority is controlled by a foreign terrorist organization and no member of a foreign terrorist organization serves in a senior policy making position in a ministry, agency, or instrumentality of the Palestinian Authority;

`(2) the Palestinian Authority has--

`(A) publicly acknowledged Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state; and

`(B) recommitted itself and is adhering to all previous agreements and understandings by the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority with the Government of the United States, the Government of Israel, and the international community, including agreements and understandings pursuant to the Performance-Based Roadmap to a Permanent Two-State Solution to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict (commonly referred to as the `Roadmap'); and

`(3) the Palestinian Authority has taken effective steps and made demonstrable progress toward--

`(A) completing the process of purging from its security services individuals with ties to terrorism;

`(B) dismantling all terrorist infrastructure, confiscating unauthorized weapons, arresting and bringing terrorists to justice, destroying unauthorized arms factories, thwarting and preempting terrorist attacks, and fully cooperating with Israel's security services;

`(C) halting all anti-Israel incitement in Palestinian Authority-controlled electronic and print media and in schools, mosques, and other institutions it controls, and replacing these materials, including textbooks, with materials that promote tolerance, peace, and coexistence with Israel;

 

Under 620K 2 [A] above -

the Palestinian Authority must publically acknowledge  Israel's right to exist as the Jewish state.

 A requirement of the Palestinian Anti-terrorism Act which Mahmoud Abbas and the PA publically refuse to do.

That alone makes the Fatah PA ineligible for U.S. funding.

The U.S. State Dept. and the Obama Administration have consistently stated that Hamas must recognize Israel. While they ignore the fact that Abbas and the Fatah run Palestinian Authority still do not recognize Israel.

This was recently confirmed by Muhammed Dahlan, a top officer in the Fatah PA:

Fatah has never recognized Israel.

Under Section 620K 3 [b] above -

The Palestinian Authority has never dismantled or disarmed the Al-Aqsa Martrys Brigades which serves as the military wing of Fatah and is on the State Dept. list of recognized terrorist organizations.

From Ynetnews:

"Terrorists associated with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party who have been firing rockets from the Gaza Strip into nearby Jewish towns are loyal to Abbas and commit their attacks in accordance with Fatah, the northern Gaza leader of Fatah's declared "military wing" told WND in an interview."

Under Section 620K 3 [C] above-

 anti-Israel incitement in "official" Palestinian Authority controlled media is a regular occurance with the consent of the PA leadership. And this is not to mention schoolbooks and incitement preached from mosques by "paid" Palestinian employees.

Under Section 620K 3 [A] above-

no members of a recognized terrorist organization are to serve in the security services of the Palestinian Authority.

Yet members of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades openly serve in the Preventive and Executive security forces of Mahmoud Abbas according to a report by Aaron Klein of WND.

However there is an unfortunate "loophole" also contained in the text of the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act of 2006.

That loophole is the provision of a "National Security Waiver". What this means is that the President has the option to "waive" adherence to criteria in the law, such as the criteria noted above, if he deems it a matter of national security, or in the national interest to do so.

Unfortunately the inclusion of the "National Security Waiver" has often been abused as a legal loophole by Presidents, to avoid compliance with legislation adapted by Congress.

Maine Attempting To Silence Christian Action Network

Elaine Thibodeau, an official with the state of Maine's Dept. of Professional and Financial Regulation, sent notice to the Christian Action Network of it's decision to fine the organization $4,000.

 Aside from what appears to be a trumped-up allegation that C.A.N was not properly registered  for the fundraising mailer they sent out, Thibodeau also accuses the Christian Action Network of "hate speech".

From Pajamas Media:

"But what has Maine bureaucrats roiling is a fundraising mailing sent by CAN (a copy of which was provided to Pajamas Media) regarding a public school curriculum used in California requiring students to pray to Allah, dress up as Muslims, adopt Muslim names, and learn the five pillars of Islam. Since Christians and Jews are not given similar accommodations, CAN encouraged their supporters to send a petition to Maine Gov. John Baldacci asking him to prevent such instruction in Maine public schools."

Thibodeau has accused C.A.N of sending an "inflammatory anti-Muslim message". And has sent the organization a "consent" form for which the Christian Action Network is requested to sign, agreeing to their allegations.

Here is what C.A.N.'s president told Pajamas Media:

“These bogus charges and fines the State of Maine has imposed are nothing but an attempt to stifle our free speech and silence our organization from speaking out about the steady creep of radical Islam in America."

 “We fully intend to appeal the state’s penalties because if they successfully silence us here, we will quickly find that we won’t be able to speak out anywhere.”

New Poll: Palin Leads GOP In 2012 Match Up

New polling data for the 2012 presidential election is out.

If the 2012 election for president were held now, among potential Republican candidates already known to the public, Sarah Palin makes the best showing in a match-up against Obama.

Romney trails last.

The numbers breakdown this way:

On general Favorability:

1. Palin-47 %
2. Huckabee-42 %
3. Romney-37%
4. Gingrich-36%

Going up against Obama:

1. Palin-43%
2. Huckabee-42-%
3. Gingrich-42%
4. Romney-40%

Also, Obama's approval rating steadily falls.

   

 

Jordan: Palestinians Are "Political Pawns"

The Jordanian government is revoking the citizenship of thousands of their Palestinian Arab residents:

"Jordanian authorities have started revoking the citizenship of thousands of Palestinians living in Jordan to avoid a situation in which they would be "resettled" permanently in the kingdom, Jordanian and Palestinian officials revealed on Monday."

Now if Israel were to revoke the citizenship of it's many disloyal Arab citizens, there would in all likelyhood be an international outcry.

Of course this action on the part of the Jordanian government comes in the wake of PM Netanyahu's recent speech in which he correctly and forcefully stated that the Palestinian refuge problem must be resolved "outside" of Israel.

An influx of thousands of these Arabs  would be disastorous for Israel. Which of course is why the PLO and other Islamists keep pushing for it. There is no legitimacy of such "right of return". Read more here.

Thousands of these Palestinians are already settled with full citizenship rights in Jordan.

That is, until this recent action by the Jordanian Hashemite government. This action serves to make the refuge problem worse, not help solve it.

A Jordanian official said the action to begin stripping the Palestinian population of their citizenship was also requested by the PLO and the Arab World.

This is more proof that the Arab Muslim world's leaders are not concerned for the real welfare of any of the so-called "Palestinians", but merely uses them as political pawns.    

The Jordanian official stated: "Our goal is to prevent Israel from emptying the Palestinian territories of their original inhabitants".

On the contrary, your goal, and the goal of the entire Arab Islamic world for over 1400 years has been to empty non-Muslim countries of the majority of their Christian and Jewish citizens, and subject the rest to dhimmi status under Islamic "occupation".

That is precisely what was done to Egypt, North Africa,Turkey, and the broader Middle East.

Hot news flash for that Jordanian official:

The Arab Muslims are NOT the original inhabitants. Before the illegal Islamic conquest, occupation, and colonization of the Middle East in the 7th century, there were no Arab Muslims in the region.  

It is Jordan's desire and the desire of the entire Islamofascist world to empty Israel of Jews and replace Israel with another Islamist state as part of the overall "jihad against the West."

 

 

Sotomayor Dodged Question On Self-Defense

Do you believe you have the right to self-defense?

A simple yes or no question. But not for Sotomayor, she dodges at every angle in reponse to that same question from Senator Coburn.

 

At Rick Warren's Saddleback forum Obama was asked which current Supreme Court justices he would not have nominated. His answer: Justice Thomas and Scalia. He also voted against John Roberts.

That says something about who "he would" nominate.

It says something about Sotomayor.
