Yes Ms. Slavin,-- Iran Would Attack Israel With A Nuke

Barbara Slavin makes the same horrendous mistake concerning the Iranian Islamist regime:

Judging what the Iranian regime would do through the filter of Western culture and values. 

Barbara Slavin is a managing editor at the Washington Times and appeared on C-Span's Washinton Journal this weekend. 

The subject matter of course was Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons. In response to a caller's question, Slavin very self-confidently declared that-

 "Iran will not attack Israel with a nuke".   Those comments by Slavin appear at about the 6:47 minute mark in the video clip.

Throughout the program Ms. Slavin never once mentioned the "Hidden Iman" Messiah that Ahmadinejad and the mullahs want to see return. And the Islamists believe that a catastrophic event can encourage their Islamic messiah to return.

Formerly, Ms. Slavin did work for the U.S. Inst. of Peace[ USIP]. She has been to Iran several times and once interviewed Ali Larijani. A snippet of that interview is below. Larijani's remarks follow in between Slavin's questions:

Slavin: Talk a bit about Iran's regional role.

"About Lebanon, we have had a lot of negotiations with Saudi Arabia. We have had some cooperation with the French and Amr Moussa (the head of the Arab League) but unfortunately, the Americans hindered everything… The Americans (also) have some terrorist behaviors."

Slavin: What terrorist behavior?

" Imad Mughniyeh, was he assassinated by Hezbollah?"

Slavin: So who killed him?

"The Americans with the help of the Zionists…The U.S. helps the Zionists to invade and attack the Palestinians. Do you think what we now see in Gaza can it be justified? How are we really going to move toward the stability in the region? The actions taken by the Americans, whatever the results of the conference in Annapolis, are doomed now. Annapolis is dead.

On Iraq, from the very outset we were after the creation of the government from the people. You know very well what countries in the region are opposed to this idea. The terrorist acts that are carried out in Iraq, who is behind them? There are some extremists … these extremists are opposed to us. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand this."-Larijani

It is interesting that Slavin let Larijani's outrageous anti-America, anti-Israel claims go unchallenged.

Slavin was also a featured speaker for a "Folly of Attacking Iran" tour, along with Reza Aslan, for whom Robert Spencer has these remarks.

What makes matters real bad is that Turkey is a member of NATO. [boy wasn't that a smart move!], Turkey has deepening ties with the Iranian Islamist regime. They would be sure to block any NATO action against Iran.

No amount of diplomacy or sanctions will disuade Iran from it's pursuit of nuclear weapons. 

There are no good options. But the only one that will work is the military option.

Consider this: In the 1990's Serbia was certainly not a nuclear threat to anyone. Did not have a hidden nuclear program. No Serbian leader ever made any statements that another country should be "wiped off the map". Nor did have they ever been a state-sponsor of terrorism, such as Iran.

Yet, Bill Clinton, Joe Biden, Wesley Clark, were itching to prod NATO into bombing Serbia back to the stone age. Taking the side of the Balkan jihadists.

When it comes to Iran, which is a state -sponsor of terrorism, has attacked and killed U.S. troops. Is actively pursuing a clandestine nuclear weapons program, clearly a much more grave threat, --the U.S. and the entire international community are reluctant to do what's neccessary.

Gates: Clueless On Iran

According to U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates, the most effective way to stop the Iranian Islamist regime from acquiring nukes, is to threaten them with a military build-up of other Islamist regimes:

"US allies in the Middle East should strengthen their respective militaries to deter Iran from continuing its suspected nuclear weapons program..."

If by that, Gates meant supplying Israel with all the bunker busters, refueling aircraft, and F22's it has sought to purchase, that might cause the mullahs knees to knock.

But since the U.S. Administration has denied Israel purchase of bunker busters and refueling aircraft, certainly needed for a preemptive strike,

Gates must instead have been referring to those "other" Islamist dictatorship regimes in the Middle East besides Iran.

As far as "our allies" in the Middle East are concerned, America only has one real ally. Israel. And the Obama Administration, instead of helping to strenghthen Israel's capability against Iran, have sought to undermine Israel.

But that is in keeping with the Obama doctrine:

Embolden our enemies, diminish America in the face of our enemies, and undermine our allies. 

Neither the Saudis nor the Egyptians will mount an attack against Iran.

America should not sell or provide military aid to Islamist countrys like Saudi Arabia that spends $ billions to spread Wahabi Islam around the globe. As well as the financing of the building of mosques in America.

The 9/11 mosque in northern Virginian is a Saudi funded mosque.

Saudi Arabia is perhaps the world's most repressive dictatorship. Next to North Korea.

Egypt already has the biggest Arab military in the M.E., as well as the entire African continent. During the Bush Administration Congress came close to cutting over $500 million in aid. But Colin Powel and Condi Rice worked hard behind the scenes to defeat the move.

Rep. Tom Lantos was in favor of shifting aid to Egypt from "military" to "humanitarian". He remarked:

"The last thing this society [Egypt] needs is the ultimate in high-tech weaponry". 

The government of Egypt still has in place a discriminatory "dhimmi" system. Christian Copts are routinely persecuted. Apostacy, blasphemy laws still in place.

What should happen is a joint U.S., NATO, operation to take out Iran's nuke sites. NATO and the U.S. certainly possess the capability. Unfortunately, with Turkey now a member of NATO, they have veto power, as well as closer ties to Iran. 

 

Obama Joins Hugo Chavez In Slandering America's Allies

Since Barack Obama has become president his actions have served to embolden America's enemies, diminish our country in the face of our enemies, and undermine our allies.

Foreign policy expert Frank Gaffney articulates:

"Let’s get into this Obama doctrine business.  I’m fond of saying that it can be described in terms of three broad categories.  First, embolden our enemies.  Second, diminish our country.  And third, undermine our allies."

The Obama Administration has consistently made a slanderous false accusation against the government of Honduras, falsely alledging that it perpetrated a coup against it's former president Mel Zelayah. Even as the facts of the matter are now widely known, and have been corraborated by members of the U.S. Congress.

Not content with maintaining this false slander, team Obama has now moved to cut off all non-humanitarian aid to Honduras, in an attempt to pressure the government of Honduras to reinstate a would-have-been Hugo Chavez usuper, Mel Zelayah. 

Speaking of Hugo Chavez, he is currently in Syria making all sorts of false slanderous accusations against another of America's allies, Israel. Chavez is foaming out his mouth the false Islamist vitriol against Israel. Screeching that Israel is:

"The state of Israel has become a murderous lackey at the service of imperialism," Chavez said. "It's a genocidal government. I condemn that Zionist government that persecutes the heroic Palestinian people."

There are no "Palestinian" people--the late Syrian president's own words.

Now there is this report that team Obama has joined with the dhimmi EU in criticising and demanding that PM Netanyahu not continue with plans to construct badly needed housing in Judea and Samaria.

Team Obama has consistently demanded that Israel not build housing or other facilities on their own land of Judea and Samaria.

All of this of course in shameful appeasement to the Islamist enemies of both America and Israel.

Contrary to the position held by team Obama, there is a "global jihadist" campaign against America and the free democratic nations of the West. And this global Islamist jihad began in the 7th century when Islam was founded by Mohammed. 

Over 1400 years of Islamic "imperialism" and genocidal campaigns of conquest and persecution of non-Muslim people.

Update : Rifqa Bary Press Conference:

For now, Rifqa is safe. She will stay in Florida. Another hearing Sept. 28. Pamela Gellar, Robert Spencer took part in a press conference outside the Florida Court.

Look Who's Advising Obama

The Obama Administration announced it was officially abandoning use of the phrase "global war on terror", as well as references to "jihadists". In fact, the only terminology now accepted by the Obama Administration is a reference to fighting Al-qaeda. As if no other "jihadist" terror organizations exist.

Wonder why?

Last February Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal's "Center for Muslim Christian Understanding, [CMCU], held a panel discussion on the Middle East.

Imad-ad-Dean Ahmad, Ph.D., reported on this panel discussion in an article posted to his minaret blog entitled "Advising Obama on the Middle East"

''The panelists were Aaron David Miller of the Woodrow Wilson Center, Hisham Melhem of Al-Arabiyya (who scored the first official interview with President Obama), Prof. Paula Newberg, expert on Afghanistan and Pakistan, newly arrived to the Georgetown campus, and Prof. John Esposito, the founder of CMCU.''

''Hisham Melhem spoke on "Redefining the War on Terrorism and the Freedom Agenda". He argued that the Middle East is more fragmented than it was eight years ago, weaker,and, except for a few islands of prosperity, more economically depressed. It is mainly without political leadership,, weakened by two wars that have reduced America's influence. Hope for change lies in the fact that the new president has deep roots in Africa, has lived in Indonesia, and has Muslim family members.''

''Melham explained that terrorism is a tactic, not an ideology nor a well-defined enemy. He asked why borrow terminology with deep European roots to foist a phrase like Islamo-fascism on Muslims?''

The first announcement by Clinton that team Obama was dropping the "war on terror" phrase occured in March. About a month after the CMCU panel discussion.

In 2005 the CMCU received a $20 million donation from Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal. The Arab prince is one of the most wealthy Arabs in the world. According to a report by Forbes, he ranks 2nd behind Warren Buffet in terms of wealth.

Douglass Farah writes on how the Muslim Brotherhood is making inroads of influence in the Obama Administration:

''The architect is Dr. John Esposito, a long time defender of the MB and the head of the Saudi-financed Georgetown University Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at the Walsh School of Foreign Service.''

''The same Dr. Esposito who maintained prior to 9/11 that radical Islam was essentially a myth and certainly no danger. It is hard to imagine any academic being so consistently wrong in their professed field of expertise maintaining much influence, but there he is, deeply enmeshed with all the major MB legacy groups in the country.''

Asaph Rowmirowsky wrote in the MEF:

''Even more problematic is the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, named for the Saudi prince whose $20 million donation in 2005 gave the Center's leader, John Esposito, a much louder voice in the Middle East studies community. Since then, the Alwaleed Center has become the locus of academic apologetics for Wahhabism in America. Along with his colleagues Yvonne Haddad, John Voll, and others, Esposito and the newly rejuvenated center are now in a position to proliferate a glossy vision of Wahhabi Islam to Americans.''

Why is this important?

The wealthy Saudi business man has stated that if "Arabs unite economically" they can influence U.S. policy.

A report at memri on a Saudi newspaper details the extent to which the Saudis have invested $billions to spread wahabbist Islam in the U.S. and around the world:

"The Kingdom has established more than 1,359 mosques abroad at a cost of SR 820million. Other mosques partially financed by the Kingdom included mosques in Zagreb, Lisbon, Vienna, New York, Washington, Chicago, Ohio, Virginia, and 12 mosques in a number of countries in South America."

An article in the Washington Times two years ago on Saudi Interest in America, noted the purchase of shares in News Corp. by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal:

"The Saudis' potential influence on U.S. and international media was recently illustrated by the prince's purchase of 5.6 percent of voting shares in News Corp., the world's largest publisher of English newspapers."

The same article noted that government sources estimated Saudi holdings in America to be between $400 to $800 billion dollars.

Citizen Warrior reports the following:

"The Saudis have funded more than 80 percent of the Wahhabi-influenced mosques built in the United States within the last 20 years. Moreover, the majority of Muslim Student Associations at U.S. colleges are dominated by Islamic and anti-American agendas, as are most of the numerous Islamic Centers and schools financed by the Saudis."

"Alwaleed has given millions of dollars to controversial Muslim organizations in the U.S. that claim to be “moderate” but have been tied to the radical Muslim Brotherhood group, and has provided universities such as Harvard with tens of millions of dollars. For example, he donated $20 million to Georgetown University’s Prince Alwaleed Bin-Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, which is directed by John Esposito, a prominent defender of Muslim Brotherhood, according to the Investigative Project on Terrorism’s blog."

"Sulayman is also the daughter of a “Muslim Brotherhood kingpin,” according to the Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Report."

“Can you imagine a better way to set the stage for a major Alwaleed gift? Hosting for a semester the very person who structured the Harvard and Georgetown gifts, and who now directs Alwaleed’s charitable foundation? A stroke of genius,” Kramer writes in his article."
