In particular,- that bogus "end-times" slander garbage leveled primarily against Christians who are mainly conservative and support Israel.
And in that regard, the vast majority being primarily conservative "evangelical" Christians.
The main promoters of this false "end-times" slander-smear campaign are radical leftists and Israel "haters" of various shades.
They do this because it suits their political agenda.
A classic example of this bogus "end-times" slander-smear appeared in a recent liberal-biased article reporting on the launch of a new website supportive of Sarah Palin, Jews For Sarah.
Here is Jews For Sarah account of the matter:
"A reporter asked us today about Sarah Palin’s religious beliefs, didn’t it disturb us that her support for Israel might be motivated by some Christian millenarian doctrine, or some such thing."
We said, “Wait a minute. Barack Obama sat in a church for 20 years in front of Jeremiah Wright preaching ‘G-dd–m America!’, the church newsletter ran unedited Hamas bulletins, and you have the nerve to ask me about Palin’s religious beliefs? Have you no shame?”

Surprise! Turns out they almost printed what we said:
"[Korn] dismisses those, including the Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, who have been spooked by Palin’s use of rhetoric that hints at a belief in a “regathering” of Jews in Israel preceding the return of Jesus Christ and Jews’ “conversion to Christianity and their mass death in the battle of Armageddon.”
Said Korn: “Jeffrey Goldberg can write what he wants … but if a person is going to be fair about this, and you want to raise questions about the religious motivations of a politician let us start with the 44th president,” he said, referring to the controversy surrounding President Obama and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright."
“I’m not even talking about any Muslim implications here, but given his policies, you wonder,” Korn added. “I accept at face value that he’s a Christian, but then why do you bow to the king of Saudi Arabia?”
The classic smear-slander as it appears in the first paragraph in blue above:

Nothing, absolutely nothing could be further from the truth in regards to the beliefs or motivations of Christians who support Israel.
In regards to "Armageddon", it is the "nations" opposed to God that attack and come against Israel that will experience the horrible consequences of their actions.
As far as a "regathering" of the Jews back to their land, this is widely attested in the Hebrew Scriptures. This is what the Bible says. And it has been coming to pass since the national restoration of Israel in 1948.
Some "accurate" Biblical reasons to support Israel.
Aside from a Biblical motivation to support Israel, one needs to realize that our ally Israel stands on the front-line in resisting the global Islamist jihad against the free-world.
The left hates and despises America's Judeo/Christian heritage. And so do the Islamists. In fact, Sarah Palin just recently came under attack for her statements referencing the Christian heritage in the founding of America.
In early December of last year I wrote this:
