A 17 year old who left Islam and embraced Christianity is threatened with deportation to Sri Lanka.

Rifqa's attorney is petitioning the judge to sign an order that Rifqa could not be forced to return to her Muslim parents before her 18th birthday. However, a lawyer for Rifqa's Muslim parents say an application for immigration back to Sri Lanka has already been filed for the whole family.
