Presbyterian Church USA- Misrepresenting Christian Values: Update

"The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) eliminated 49 more jobs at its Louisville headquarters."

"The Courier-Journal reported that the church, struggling financially, announced the cuts on Friday that included a combination of layoffs, voluntary severance and attrition."

"The cuts come after the council's governing board earlier this week approved an $82 million budget for 2011 and $80 million for 2012 - down from this year's budget of $93.8 million."

"The newspaper reported that the denomination has been coping with losses in membership, congregations, contributions and investment returns."

Presbyterian USA : Misrepresenting Christian Values

Ryan Jones, who now writes for Israel Today, wrote an excellent article he posted on his old website Zionist.com back in August 2007 entitled:

CMEP is far from representing mainstream Christianity, or Biblical Christianity, to be more accurate.

And the Presbyterian USA denomination is one of their board members.

As well as the United Church of Christ, the denomination of Obama's former church in Chicago, the Trinity UCC which had no problem publishing a Hamas manifesto in their bulletin.

Then there is the Mennonite Central Committee and the American Friends Service, who sponsored and invited Iran's Ahmadinejad for talks and dinner. Both radically liberal and anti-Israel. Also members of CMEP.

The Presbyterian USA , a board member with CMEP is also misrepresenting Christian values.

Obama Unfairly Castigates BP

Obama is directly responsible himself for the lost income of many along the Gulf Coast, not BP.

It was Obama who ordered the moratorium on all off-shore drilling. Obama's moratorium is hurting the livelihoods of thousands of folks. It is hurting many different types of business not even associated with oil.

In a televised speech last night Obama said,-

"I will meet with the chairman of BP [on Wednesday] and inform him that he is to set aside whatever resources are required to compensate the workers and business owners who have been harmed as a result of his company's recklessness."

It is Obama's "recklessness" to impose a moratorium on oil drilling.

Because one off-shore oil rig suffered a major accident, that is no reason to impose a moratorium on the other rigs and cause further loss of income and business

BP is not to blame for that, Obama is.

Obama, not the U.S. taxpayer, not BP, should reimburse workers and business that have suffered financially as a result of Obama's moratorium.

There are more than 3,000 off-shore oil rigs along the Gulf Coast.

Off-shore oil drilling has been a staple in the Gulf since the 1940's. And certainly so for Louisianna, perhaps the hardest hit by Obama's moratorium.

Palestinian Authority Fatah Terrorists Murder Israeli Policemen

Terrorist gunmen belonging to Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the official "military wing" of Fatah, ambushed Israeli police officers as they were driving along a road from Hevron.

From CBN:

"Two officers, one in critical and one in serious condition, were airlifted to Jerusalem's Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital and Soroka Hospital in Beersheva." 

"Command Sgt. Maj. Yehoshua Sofer, 39, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital." 

"Both officers were shot in the chest, according to Magen David Adom paramedics at the scene of the attack. A third officer sustained less serious gunshot wounds and a fourth was lightly injured by shrapnel."

"The al-Aksa Martyrs' Brigades, the "armed wing" of the Palestinian Authority's Fatah faction, claimed responsibility for the shooting attack."

Mahmoud Abbas's PLO Fatah, which runs the "Palestinian Authority", held a convention for it's members August '09.

At the convention Fatah delegates officially endorsed a U.S. recognized terrorist organization, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, as the "military wing" of Fatah.

Fatah and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades are both the same organization.

U.S. funding of the Fatah Palestinian Authority is therefore the funding of a known terrorist organization, and is illegal according to U.S. law.

Misappropriation of taxpayer money by State Dept., Administration, or members of Congress are serious offenses.

It was Mahmoud Abbas, the so-called "moderate". who hand picked Mahmoud Damra, an Al-Aqsa brigades terror commander, to serve as head of his Force 17.

Aaron Klein of WND reported the following in 2007:

"The Brigades, together with Islamic Jihad, has taken responsibility for every suicide bombing in Israel the past two years, including an attack in Tel Aviv in April that killed American teenager Daniel Wultz and nine Israelis. The Brigades also has carried out scores of deadly shooting and rocket attacks against Israeli civilians in recent months. "

"All Brigades leaders are also members of Fatah. Abbas last June appointed senior Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades leader Mahmoud Damra as commander of Force 17. Damra, who was arrested by Israel in November, was on the Jewish state's most-wanted list of terrorists."

"Abu Yousuf said the American weapons shipments may be shared with other Palestinian terror groups. He said that during large confrontations with Israel, such as the Jewish state's 2002 anti-terror raid in Jenin, Fatah distributed weapons to Hamas and Islamic Jihad."

A Law To Ban Consumption of Alcohol in All Bars and Restaurants?

Why not?

The arguments presented in favor of the law that now bans smoking in all bars and restaurants in Va. was that smoking poses a serious health danger to the public.

Separate designated non-smoking areas wasn't sufficient the proponents argued, because second-hand smoke also poses a danger.

As it stands now, the only bars or restaurants in Va. that can legally accommodate patrons who wish to smoke are those that have totally closed-off, separate areas, with there own ventilation system. Or, if they are private and not open to the general public. 

Can the case be made that the consumption of alcoholic beverages also poses a serious health danger to the public? That's a no-brainer.

For those who supported the anti-smoking ban in Va, or currently support such legislation in other states citing a "serious health danger" to the public, if you would not also support a ban on consumption of alcoholic beverages in bars and restaurants as a "serious health danger" to the public, there is only one word for that--hypocrisy.  

Does the consumption of alcoholic bevarages in bars and restaurants pose a "serious health danger" to the public?

Again, that's a no-brainer.

Bars and Violence:

"Alcohol availability is closely related to violent assaults. Communities and neighborhoods that have more bars and liquor stores per capita experience more assaults." read the full report.

Every year more than 11,000 Americans are killed in motor vehicle accidents as a direct result of the consumption of alcholic bevarages.

More Americans get killed every year from "al-cohol" than by "al-qaeda" .

Aside from the victims of drunk drivers, there are also many victims of alcohol-related violence.

Statistics:

Over 50% of homicides in America are alcohol-related.

At least 40% of violent assaults in America are alcohol-related.

80 % of teen suicide is alcohol-related.

Alcoholic beverages are the # 1 drug in America. 

Yet the breweries, distilleries, and wineries in America deliberately keep marketing their liquid poison..

The most recent stats found at the CDC's Fastats page were for 2006. In that year there were more than 18,500 homicides in America.

Which means that alcohol-related homicides, according to statistics cited above, accounted for at least half that number. Which does not include alcohol-related suicides.

So far this post has only cited alcohol-related deaths from drunk drivers, homicide, violent assaults, and teen suicide. This does not include the number of deaths due to "alcoholism" and it's harmful effects on the body. 

From the CDC:

Number of alcoholic liver disease deaths: 13,050

Number of alcohol-induced deaths, excluding accidents and homicides: 22,073

From what can be gathered thus far, more than 50,000 Americans die each year due directly to the consumption of alcoholic beverages. 

The producers of alcoholic beverages should be subject to "wrongful death" lawsuits in regards to drunk-driving victims. Victims of alcohol-related crime, and such.

There should be a law in place wherin a police officer investigating an alcohol-related motor vehicle accident, should not only determine if alcohol was a factor, but also what the brand-name of the particular alcoholic beverage was. And the maker of the particular brand held accountable.

Year after year, despite the addictions, loss of life, injury, the producers of alcoholic beverages deliberately market products "they know" will be responsible for death and injury to countless Americans. 

And in the view of this blogger, that makes them liable.

The same with respect to alcoholic-related crimes. The investigating officers should make an effort to determine the brand-name.

 

Uri Brodsky Should Be Given A Medal

And so should the "Son of Hamas", Mosab Hassan, for the good work he did with Shin Bet that thwarted jihad terror attacks and helped save lives.

But instead, the DHS wants to deport him as a terrorist. What?!!!

DHS either has a severe problem with enemy identification, or they have been infiltrated by Islamists who would like to see Mosab Hassan deported out of revenge for his leaving Islam, and helping to stop terror attacks by Hamas. 

In any case DHS is treating the bad guys as the good guys and the good guys as the bad guys. Not to mention how a top official with DHS said they may not process illegal aliens turned over to them by Arizona.

And now an Israeli Mossad agent has been "arrested" in Poland for involvement in the elimination of a top Hamas terrorist in Dubai.

"A report said that Polish authorities have arrested an Israeli man, Uri Brodsky, on suspicion of involvement in the death of top Hamas terrorist Mahmoud al-Mabhouh last January in Dubai. According to the German Der Spiegel weekly, Brodsky was arrested on June 4, when he arrived in Warsaw. Brodsky was arrested based on an international arrest warrant issued in Germany, the report said."

"According to the report, Brodsky assisted one of the 30-odd members of the team that Dubai authorities say killed Mabhouh to obtain a foreign passport."

"Israel's Foreign Ministry confirmed that an Israeli had been arrested in connection with the case. The Der Spiegel report said that Israel had asked Poland not to extradite Brodsky to Germany, where he would be tried for being a member of a spy organization, not for the Mabhouh killing itself."

"The arrest is the first one in the case, following complaints by Britain, Ireland, France, Germany and Australia that the operatives that killed the terrorist had used passports issued in their countries to enter Dubai in order to set up the elimination of Mabhouh. "

Whose side are Poland, France, Germany, and Britain on in the global jihad against the free-world?

They are upset that operatives used passports issued in their countries for a mission to eliminate a top bloodthirsty Hamas terrorist?

The governments of these countries should be thanking the counter-terror team that completed that mission.

Each member of that counter-terror team, as well as Uri Brodsky, should be given a medal for valuable service rendered to the free-world.

But like Bibi said, Israel faces an attack of international hypocrisy.

 

No $400 Million Tax Dollars to Gazastan; Boycott PA Businesses and Products

Kill the "bailouts"-including the taxpayer bailouts of America-Israel hating jihadists in Gazastan and the PA. 

Over the last 18 years the American taxpayer has provided the PLO Fatah Palestinian Authority with $ billions.

It is past time to end funding of the PA.

Call, write your Congressmen, insist they not allow anymore taxpayer funding of Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah, or Hamas in Gaza.

According to U.S. law it is illegal to fund a terrorist organization.

Fatah, which runs the Palestinian Authority, officially endorsed the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a recognized terrorist organization, as the "military wing" of Fatah. They are one and the same. To fund the Fatah PA is to fund a terrorist organization.

Congress also should now act to officially disavow support for the establishment of any "Palestinian state".

Kosovo belongs to Serbia.

Mindanou belongs to the Phillipines,

and Judea and Samaria belong to Israel!

Boycott the boycotters!

In a dazzling display of hypocrisy, the Fatah Palestinian Authority led by Abu Mazen and Salam Fayad, are pushing for a boycott of products made by Israelis in Judea and Samaria.

While at the same time they hold a "Palestine Business Investment" conference to solicit business for Arab made products:

Daily Mail UK Media Distortion-Anti-American Incitement

Daily Mail UK media bias and distortion.

As U.S. Border Patrol agents detained an illegal alien on the Texas side of the southern border with Mexico, they were pelted with rocks by other would-be illegal aliens who ran back across the border when the border patrol agents arrived.

A U.S. Border Patrol agent called out for the rock throwing assailants to stop.

They didn't.

As most  should be aware of, rocks can seriously injure and kill.

In self-defense a border patrol agent then fired his weapon, a Mexican teenager, a smuggler of illegal aliens was killed.

For media comparison here are two different articles on the same incident:

Notice these lines in the Daily Mail article:

"The boy's sister, Rosario, said her brother was playing with serveral friends and did not plan to cross the border.

'They say that they started firing from over there and suddenly hit him in the head,' she said."

"The boy's mother said he had gone to eat with his brother, who handles luggage at a border customs office. While there he met up with a group of friends and they decided to hang out by the river, she said.

'That was his mistake, to have gone to the river,' she told a Mexican television reporter.'That's why they killed him."

According to that account in the Daily Mail article, the U.S. Border Patrol showed up and just started shooting.

The Daily Mail article also makes no mention that the Mexican teen was a "known smuggler" of illegal aliens.

Nor was there any mention of the Mexican soldiers who arrived and threatened the U.S. Border Patrol agents with their rifles.  

This is not the first time by any means of Mexican soldiers violating the law and interferring with the U.S. Border Patrol.

Mexican soldiers have previously committed "acts of war" by trespassing the U.S. border and holding U.S. Border Patrol agents at gun point.

By omitting the other relevant info as just pointed out, the Daily Mail article presents a distorted rendering of the incident.

A media distortion of the incident, along with the inclusion of photos of the teen's grieving family members, without all of the facts, appears to be a deliberate attempt by the Daily Mail UK to incite anti-American sentiment.  

This is like the media propaganda and distortion so often used against Israeli police doing their duty.

How many times has a biased MSM, with the help of anti-Israel AP and Reuters "stringers", incited anti-Israel sentiment with "stone-throwing youth" pitted against "heavily armed" Israeli police or soldiers?

Or a charge of "disproportionate use of force". Sound familiar?

That is exactly the charge made today by Mexican president Calderone.

The same media bias, distortion, and propaganda weapons.

About those stone-throwing youths, -Carl in Jerusalem writes:

"There's a strange perception in the West that 'stone throwing' is harmless. It's a perception that amazes me given that I can recall at least two instances in the United States in the last few years in which stone throwers were indicted for what stone throwing really is: attempted murder."

Can you see what's happening?

Rocks can seriously injure and kill. Yet in a biased anti-American, anti-western media with an agenda, it is presented as some youngsters "throwing stones" pitted against "well-armed" Israeli police, or the U.S. Border Patrol. 

The charge of a "disproportionate use of force" is made with a clear agenda.

In regards to our border, they wish to use this type of media propaganda to de-legitimise our right and effort to secure the border and stop illegal immigration. They will use this to try and de-legitimise the border patrol's right to self defense.

Would not be surprised if orders came down from the Obama Administration tonight instructing the border patrol to never use their firearms to defend themselves in any future confrontation with rock-throwing illegal aliens.

The de-legitimization of the right to secure borders, and the de-legitimization of the right to self-defense.

That is the clear agenda of the anti-American, anti-Western media. 

And the Daily Mail UK is full of it.
