What a blatant false insult!
Fruhlinger obviously doesn't know the difference between hobos, tramps, and bums!
The three are not the same!
Hobos are not bums!
Bums are not tramps, and tramps aint hobos.
Hobos have pride.
Once an active Hobo, now a proud "Hobo at Heart".
Yes we have the "wander lust" and we love to travel and see this great country of ours from time to time via rail and road. But we work and aint "bums" as Fruhlinger calls us.
" ...a real hobo will work for his stuff. He's not looking for a free handout. He wants no problem from anybody, and he'll give no problem to anybody..."-Buckup Ken
" A bum is a guy who doesn't do anything. He's your local drunk, sitting around on the park bench all the time, feeding the squirles, pooping in his drawers, and getting drunk, until they get mad at him and run him out of town and he finds another town and does the same thing."
" A hobo is a person who travels and works and makes his way as honest as he can. No sticks, no stones, no attachments, nothing to hold him down."-Captain Dingo
" When it's cold outdoors, a tramp takes a newspaper and stuffs it down his shirt to keep warm. A hobo does the same thing, but he reads it first..."-Adman
"One More Train to Ride"-Cliff Williams [Oats]
Josh Fruhlinger writting for Wonkett has written an article slandering both Hobos and Republicans:
"Aren’t the Republicans supposed to be against identity politics? A core conservative belief is that we shouldn’t worry about our government “looking like America,” with its various genders and ethnic groups, but that we should instead choose our leaders based solely on merit (i.e., whiteness, maleness, heterosexuality, former-lobbyist-ness)."
["... with its various genders.."-how many are there?]
["i.e., whiteness, maleness"--slander]
Fruhlinger continues:
"Unfortunately, due to Ben Quayle’s unexpected stranglehold on the Arizona Republican Party, this hobo-advocate had no choice but to put these brave bums on the Green Party..."
["...but to put these brave 'bums' ..." calling hobos 'bums]-an blatant insult! [ and exactly 'how' did Ben Quale 'put them' on the Green Party?] Are these guys hobos, former hobos, or bums? Now if they're 'bums', they're not hobos!
Real Hobos are not bums!
Fruhlinger then goes to describe these hobos he calls 'bums':
Benjamin Pearcy, 20, is running for the Arizona Corporation Commission, which oversees public utilities, railroad safety, and securities regulation. Who better to regulate the railroads than someone who rides the rails from town to town? “Dressed up spiffily, he described himself as the illegitimate son of a stripper who had had run-ins with the law and a tough childhood but who had pulled his life together. ‘I’ve been homeless,’ he said, his eyes darting back and forth. ‘I got a place. Anyone can do it. We’re all good enough.’”
[ Doesn't sound like a 'bum' to me]
“Anthony Goshorn, 53, a candidate for the State Senate whose bushy white beard and paternal manner have earned him that nickname ['Grandpa'] on the streets … Grandpa, widely known in the area through the pedicab he drives for hire, is against higher taxes and for God in the classroom..."
["... against higher taxes and for God in the classroom..."-sounds like sound conservative positions]
I'd vote for a God loving, hardworking , patriotic Hobo anyday before I'd vote for a marxist, socialist, Islamist water-carrying, dhimmi democrat any day of the week!
Something else Iowa is famous for : the Hobo Convention
