Fatah/Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades unity?
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades is a recognized foreign terrorist organization.
They are also the official military wing of Fatah.
Fatah, the main faction of the PLO, runs the Palestinian Authority [PA].
Excerpt from the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act of 2006 signed into law by President Bush in Nov. 2006:
["Under the "Limitations of Asistance to the Palestinian Authority", [Section 620K], of the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act of 2006, in order for the PA to receive U.S. financial aid, the POTUS must certify to Congress that no foreign terrorist organization, or members of a foreign terrorist organization serve in any capacity or instrumentality of the PA".]
There can be no doubt now, that if Obama makes such a certification, he will be deliberately certifying a falsehood to Congress.
Much attention of late, and rightly so, has been focused on the recent Fatah/Hamas unity agreement.
In that regard PM Netanyahu has forcefully stated that it is impossible to forge a genuine peace, or negotiate with a PA that includes Hamas which openly calls for the destruction of Israel.
In fact, he just alluded to Hamas in his speech to the U.S. Congress.
Netanyahu has stated that Abbas, [leader of Fatah and president of the PA] , must "...choose between peace and Hamas".
Talk has also circulated among Congressional members about cutting off U.S. funding to the PA in light of this new Fatah/Hamas unity.
But what about the Fatah/Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades unity?
This seems to go totally under the radar and willfully ignored.
