And now, some Colin Powell Moonbattery--

The former Sect. of State for President Bush, and advisor to President Reagan, has defended Chuck Hagel as a "strong" supporter of Israel.

Flashback to 1988.

Lt. General Colin Powell was involved in one of the darkest stains on the Reagan presidency:

The foolish and irresponsible legitimizing of the PLO jihad terrorist organization.

At that time the PLO was led by Yassir Arafat. Israel's equivolent of Bin Laden and Al-qaeda.

Colin Powell was involved in those "secret" back channels engaging Arafat:

["By late 1988, Yasser Arafat believed that nothing was going to happen in the Middle East without the US and, somewhat overstated, he believed that the US could pressure Israel into an agreement they might not otherwise accept.

[Not overstated at all!!!]

During 1988, secret channels and intermediaries were used to establish acceptable language for the PLO to use to satisfy the United States.

Arafat’s next attempt to publically meet the US conditions was the Algiers Declaration of the Palestinian National Council in November 1988, a document based on the policy revisions discussed in the Cairo Declaration of November 7, 1985.

Examining the Algiers declaration, the US government concluded that it fell short since the document did not explicitly recognize Israel’s right to exist and was ambiguous on accepting the two UN resolutions and on terrorism. On November 26, 1988, Shultz rejected Arafat’s request for a visa to address the UN in New York because of the PLO’s continued involvement in terrorism against Americans.

The secret channel discussions continued. During November, a message giving a presidential pledge to start a dialogue if the PLO met the conditions was sent by National Security Advisor Colin Powell through a private individual meeting with PLO officials in Stockholm."]

Eventually those secret back channel contacts with Arafat led to this:

U.S. Agrees to talks with PLO; Saying Arafat Accepts Israel and Renounces all Terrorism

["President Reagan today authorized the start of a ''substantive dialogue'' with the Palestine Liberation Organization, which he said had finally met the American conditions for direct talks after more than a decade.

Simultaneously with the White House statement, Secretary of State George P. Shultz said he was designating the United States Ambassador to Tunisia, Robert H. Pelletreau Jr., as ''the only authorized channel'' for the dialogue with the P.L.O.

Mr. Shultz said President Reagan and President-elect Bush agreed with his conclusion that the P.L.O. chairman, Yasir Arafat, in a statement delivered in Geneva, had satisfied the United States' three-part test for a ''substantive dialogue.'']

Read all about how that foolish legitimizing of Arafat and the PLO turned out here. And Abu Mazen is no better than Arafat.

Chuck Hagel's record reveal him as rather a strong supporter of Iran and the jihad PLO.

Bit of Good News: Winter Storm Collapses Gaza Jihad Terror Smuggling Tunnels

A bit of good news coming out of winter storm in the ME:

EL ARISH, Egypt (Ma'an) -- After three days of intense rainfall, many of the tunnels under Gaza's border with Egypt are flooded or collapsed, an Egyptian security official told Ma'an.

The underground trade has halted during the stormy weather due to concerns that many tunnels remain unstable, the official in Egyptian Rafah said.

The tunnel network developed as a vital source of goods under Israel's blockade of the coastal strip and Egyptian restrictions on the official Rafah crossing point.

Smuggling Weapons from Iran into the Gaza Strip through Sudan and Sinai

["Hamas and PIJ enjoy extensive material backing from Iran in their arming efforts, in light of Iran's determination to amplify its influence in the Palestinian arena and among Palestinian terror groups. Iran substantiates its support of the resistance camp by providing high-quality standard weapons to both groups.

The major smuggling route is from Iran to Sudan, on to Egypt and the Sinai peninsula, and from there to the Gaza Strip, with Iran's direct involvement in providing the arms and transferring them into the Gaza Strip.

As of 2010 hundreds of standard rockets had been smuggled into the Gaza Strip (most of long ranges of up to 20 and 40 km), as well as about a thousand mortar shells, several dozen Anti-Tank items, tons of standard explosives and raw materials for explosive production."]

Gaza Tunnels: The Counterjihad Report-

How Many Millionares live in the "Impoverished" Gaza Strip?

Key excerpt-

["Mohammed Dahlan, the former Palestinian Authority security commander of the Gaza Strip, further said last week that Hamas was the only party that was laying siege to the Gaza Strip; that it is Hamas, and not Israel or Egypt, that is strangling and punishing the people there.

The Palestinian millionaires, according to the report, have made their wealth thanks to the hundreds of underground tunnels along the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt.

Informed Palestinian sources revealed that every day, in addition to weapons, thousands of tons of fuel, medicine, various types of merchandise, vehicles, electrical appliances, drugs, medicine and cigarettes are smuggled into the Gaza Strip through more than 400 tunnels. A former Sudanese government official who visited the Gaza Strip lately was quoted as saying that he found basic goods that were not available in Sudan. Almost all the tunnels are controlled by the Hamas government, which has established a special commission to oversee the smuggling business, which makes the Hamas government the biggest benefactor of the smuggling industry."

2012: One Romo Celebrated a Win; and another Romo Mourns a Loss

["When Sergio Romo sealed his team's World Series victory with a strikeout of Miguel Cabrera, it was hard not to wonder what the hell Cabrera was thinking. On a 2-2 count, he watched an 89-mph fastball sail right over the middle of the plate, his season ending with his bat on his shoulder."]---read it all.

["Into another stadium tunnel Tony Romo walked Sunday night, a loser again in the season's final game. This stroll must be so tiring for him now. He limped along the floor of the concourse that leads to the visitors' locker room at FedEx Field. His legs ached. Nobody walked near him. Once more he would endure his suffering alone."]---read the rest.
