The report was first published yesterday by Palestinian Media Watch directors Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook.
Along with a youtube video of an interview in which Muhammad Dahlan, a senior leader of Fatah, acknowledged that the PLO Fatah doesn't recognize Israel.
An excerpt from the report:
"When Western countries met last month to pledge billions of dollars in funding to the Fatah-led Palestinian Authority, they stressed that Hamas would not receive funding until it recognized Israel. However, a senior Fatah leader, Muhammad Dahlan, admitted yesterday on Palestinian Authority television that Fatah - just like Hamas - still does not recognize Israel.
Furthermore, he said that the Palestinian Authority's apparent "recognition" is to make the PA "acceptable" to the international community, and therefore allow it to continue to recieve international aid:
"I want to say for the thousandth time, in my own name and in the name of all my fellow members of the Fatah movement: We do not demand that the Hamas movement recognize Israel. On the contrary, we demand of the Hamas movement not to recognize Israel, because the Fatah movement does not recognize Israel even today."
Yet governments throughout the international community continue to pump $ billions in aid to the Fatah PA.
After the report was initially published by PMW, it recieved some attention in Israeli media such as Jpost. Tuned in bloggers also covered it as well.
But not the regular MSM.
As of this writing neither Drudge Report, Yahoo News, CNN, Fox, AP World, or Reuters are bothering to report on this.
However, the Drudge Report, at the time of this posting has this:
Along with this caption:
NYT THURSDAY: Israel's growing international isolation as Netanyahu prepares to take power... Developing...
[the link on Drudge to that NYT article is not working at present, because it's "Developing..."]
Why doesn't Drudge have this headline and link:
Real Clear Politics, of it's many headline articles, has no coverage of the PMW report.
However, in the morning edition of Real Clear World, they have a link to a really nasty article against Avigdor Lieberman by Robert Fisk:
Lieberman: Middle East's Worst Case - Robert Fisk, The Independent [RCW]
So, in other words Mr. Fisk, if one desires that the citizens of their country be loyal and patriotic, that makes them racist? [not hardly].
I'll continue to check in with Fox, but I don't expect any of their anchors to report on this either.
The concern among your favorite conservative talk show hosts over how taxpayers money is spent, appears to be limited to mortgage bailouts and AIG bonuses, but not how it is helping to fund the Fatah PA terrorists.
When was the last time Rush Limbaugh complained about U.S. taxpayers money going to Fatah? Or Laura Ingraham, or Sean Hannity?
This is hardly the only time members of the so-called "moderate" Fatah PA have voiced their non-recognition and true intentions towards Israel.
Abbas Zaki, the official PA representative in Lebanon, reaffirmed in an interview with NBN-TV, the PLO's commitment to the "Phased Plan".
